Patricia received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology, at Florida International University.
She began her career in pediatrics, sub acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. Upon graduation she proceeded to work in a nonprofit hospital in Arizona doing charity work and helping the immigrant population with disorders which ranged from cleft palates, to traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and pediatric communication disorders. Patricia then returned to Florida in 2010 and began working in the private sector with patients of all ages and ranges of speech related disorders.
In 2012, she founded the Miami Speech Institute where she continues to provide innovative treatment to children and adults ranging from birth to geriatrics. Patricia’s areas of specialty include: cognolinguistic disorders, aphasia, auditory processing, stuttering, language disorders, and articulation/phonological delays.
